To prevent and manage crises, conflicts, and disasters is one of SDC’s strategic goals. The SDC supports refugees and internally displaced persons in various ways. It dispatches experts on the ground, carries out its own projects and contributes financial support to NGOs and international humanitarian agencies. Three-quarters of refugees are concentrated in developing countries which do not have sufficient capacities to offer effective protection to large numbers of persons.
